How to Create Effective Custom Fridge Magnets
While being visible can increase brand recall, the content and colors on your refrigerator magnet will help guide the results. Make sure you consider the following elements before creating your magnet:
- A complementary color combination that adheres to your brand’s stylebook. Use colors that are within the company’s color palette, yet don’t be limited to just one hue. Use our online design tool to create your custom fridge magnet from scratch. After selecting “Design Online” at the bottom of the calculator, you’ll be taken to a blank space in your chosen size.
- Upload your design for a faster transaction. Have a print-ready file in PDF, PSD, JPEG, PUB, or INDD format? Upload it after inputting your specs for a faster printing turnaround. We can print the file in four (4) business days. You can also preview the PDF before it goes to production. On the File Upload page, select “Wait – I want to receive and approve a free PDF proof” after sending the file for print.

Yes, you can select “Custom Size” among the size options on the online calculator. After selection, a range of width and height choices will appear in the “Enter Custom Size” pop-up window. Widths start at 2” until 12”, while height choices are at least 3.5” to as big as 12”.
What is a fridge magnet made of?
Your design is printed on a thick 17 pt. the magnet in high-gloss UV coating. This material is thick and is easy to reposition after removal. It lasts indoors and can hold up one piece of paper. For more information, check out the “Material & Specs” tab.
How long do fridge magnets last?
The printed custom magnets are likely to last for years indoors. As long as proper care is ensured, and they only hold one paper at a time.

Customer Questions
Based on our computation, each refrigerator magnet (3" x 4") is around 5386 milligrams or 0.19 oz. We have actually mailed out refrigerator magnets too for our clients instead of the usual post cards or flyers. If you wish to get a quote, please give us a call and speak to one of our Mailing Representatives.
You can order these in either four or six day production time. We do have a cut off time of 5 pm Pacific so if you order before this, production time will start the following business day. Holidays and weekends do not count towards Production time as the facility will be closed. If there are file issues with your artwork, these need to be resolved before production starts so we do not count these as part of production turnaround. We encourage you to submit a print ready file to avoid delays. However, we will assist you to the best of our abilities to try and resolve file issue as we will identify concerns and correct them if possible.
The shipping transit time is also separately counted from Production turnaround and you will need to select the shipping option upon check out so we would advise you to call us if you are following a deadline to make sure you are selecting the most cost efficient options. If you wish for us to ship to the East Coast, we would likely print these in our Cleveland Facility. If not we can ship out from Arlington, Texas or Van Nuys in California. Depending on material availability, this could also change.
The Magnets cannot be written upon as we use a High Gloss UV coating on this. If you wish to try a sample, we do include the 17 Pt Magnet High Gloss (UV) in our free Large Format Sample Kits.
We do print in a four color process so please use a CMYK color system for your artwork. We do not guarantee exact color matches but you can request for a digital proof before the job goes into production so you can have an idea on resolution, size and overall printing quality.
We can do custom shapes or die cuts. However, these will need to be processed by the Custom Department, Please give us a call and ask for one of our represenatives so they can send you a quote based on your sepecifications.
Although we do have the Terms of Service that describes the resposibilities and business relationship with each other, this is a question we may need our Legal Department to answer. We will forward it to them and have them email you directly.
