Direct mailing is a great marketing strategy. You can reach people directly and notify them of your newest projects and events, thank them for their recent business with you and for anything else, really.

However, mailing your cards and letters yourself can be very tedious.  There are certain areas in the process that you would wish to get away with. Going to the post office to ask for their requirements could, by itself, exhaust you. There’s so much to do! Good thing we at UPrinting.com offer designing, printing and mailing options.

Here are the basics:

Once you’ve approved your proof and have submitted your mailing list (in excel file), we’ll proceed to verifying the addresses on your list and printing your material. The addresses, however, will be printed separately through ink-jetting.

Mailing Considerations

How do you want your envelopes to be addressed?

Or more to the point, who do you want to receive it? Are you intent on having each client named on your mailing list to receive the mail themselves, or are you willing to risk a new addressee to receive it?

  • National Change of Address. With this option, we will verify the addresses on your mailing list. In case the addressee has moved out, we will find their new address for you. This is perfect for all those who need to reach specific clients. If you are sending thank you cards, bills or other documents of similar nature, this option is for you.
  • Or Current Occupant. When applicable, new occupants will receive your mail. This option is perfect for marketing purposes. You get to promote your product and services to new people.

How much is your budget? Is your mail urgent?

Costs and Turn around time are 2 important considerations. Here are your mailing options:

  • Standard Bulk. Cheaper but takes 5-14 business days.
  • 1st Class Mail. Only takes 3-5 business days but will incur extra costs.

Products You Can Send Out

You can send almost everything by bulk now, however, here are the most popular and cost-effective mailable items:

You can actually send everything else by inserting them in envelopes! This works well for projects that includes several, small inserts. For brochures, they will be sealed on the corner/s by placing small stickers called wafer seals.
