Heavenly Spirits LogoDale Carnegie, author of How to Win Friends and Influence People, has a quote, “The essence of all art is to have pleasure in giving pleasure”. This seems apt for Daniel and Christine Cooney, owners of Heavenly Spirits. After all, they are in the business of importing and distributing French wine and spirits, some of the finer things in life.

The Cooneys started Heavenly Spirits, Importers of Exceptional French Spirits in 2008 after working in the wine industry for several years. Christine, who was born in Cognac, France, has always had a passion and affinity for the wine and spirits business which is something she shared with Daniel.

The pair chose the name “Heavenly Spirits” as a reference to “the angel’s share”, that portion of the distillation that evaporates during the aging process. The word “heavenly” is also translated from the French word “paradise” which refers to the wine distiller’s oldest ageing cellar. For the Cooneys, the name represents their passion for the art of French distillation and the years of research they devoted to building their business. Heavenly Spirits

Heavenly Spirits specializes in selling a hand-selected, award-winning portolio of French artisan spirits. In their cellars, one can find the finest samples of armagnacs, cognacs, absinthe & pastis, rums, and calvados. These products are currently distributed in ten states including Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Oklahoma, which were just recently added. Aside from importation and sales, Heavenly Spirits also offers educational seminars and testing events all year-round.

Daniel and Christine don’t just see themselves as wine & spirit-sellers but also as cultural ambassadors who delight in sharing an appreciation of the fine art of distilled wine. And they have been recognized as such, with Christine being mentioned in Paul F. Pacult’s (a well-respected spirits reviewer) book, Kindred Spirits.

Heavenly Spirits aims to be synonymous with exceptional French spirits while educating adult consumers and increasing sales. In order to do so, Daniel has ordered customized bottle neck talkers from UPrinting. He raves about UPrinting’s services, saying “We are very happy with the quality work and service we have received from UPrinting. Because this was a custom job, it took some time to explain exactly what we wanted and to figure out the details. Both Rose and Maggie from UPrinting Customer Service were patient and knowledgeable, while the pricing was fair.”

Daniel and Chrisitine Cooney’s hard work and enthusiasm for high-quality French spirits seems to be paying off, producing results that are truly heavenly.
