How to Assemble a Retractable Banner
When you order a custom retractable banner at UPrinting, you will receive a complimentary travel bag containing the stand’s base, support pole, and header bar. Use this 4-step guide to easily set up your retractable banner.

Set the base
on the ground and rotate the feet out at 90 degrees.

Connect the support poles
and insert them into the list at the top of base.

Gently lift the header
pulling the retractable banner display up at a slight angle from the base.

Please ensure that your file is not larger than 200 mb, is set to CMYK color settings, and has a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. We also accept the following file formats: PDF, JPG, JPEG, PSD, PNG, TIF, TIFF, EPS, Illustrator, Publisher, DOCX, DOC, XLS, XLSX. PPT, PPTX, TXT, CSV, BMP, GIF, and SVG.
You can also use our online design tool for free if you want to create a banner design from scratch. With our online design tool, you can upload images from your computer, add graphics and text, and use your preferred fonts. Finally, we have free design templates you can modify according to your brand colors and elements to come up with a banner.
Please note that every order of our retractable banners include the banner itself and a stand. What is the difference between standard, premium, and deluxe retractable banners? Our standard, deluxe, and retractable premium banners are different from each other in a number of ways — sizes, substrate options, and display options.
Yes. Our retractable banners can be printed in either 13 oz. vinyl material or UV fabric material, both of which are weather-proof and can be used outdoors. Please note that it’s strongly recommended to put away the banner during extreme weather conditions.

Customer Questions
It would depend on the file that you have. If it is a high resolution file, it would be possible. If we need to redo the entire banner, you may avail of our Design Service. Either way, please give us a call and speak to a File Specialist so we can take a look at the file. You can also use our Design Tool online to recreate your design and insert different text, background or stock images.
You would need to use a tape with heavy duty adhesive to help prevent further tears to the the vinyl material. At the same time it can't be too thick as it may affect how the banner retracts into the mechanism. If the damage is unrepairable, you do have the option to order just the banner.
The bleed is standard for all large format jobs at .25" on all sides.

We would advise to send in at least 200-300 dpi for images to come out clearly. We print using a CMYK color format and you may send in your file as a PDF, Illustrator or Photoshop file. There are also templates you can download on the website to guide you in creating the banner so you have the proper size and bleed requirements.
Your files will be reviewed for printing errors without paying a cent.
