John Lazration builds entire game universes from scratch.
He designs the gameplay, writes the story, prints the figures, and assembles every character piece by hand. With six printers and a relentlessly creative mind, there's almost nothing he can't make.
But when it's time to creating marketing materials that promote what he's built, he doesn't do the printing himself. He calls us!
Building Worlds from the Basement
It started in 2015 with a wooden kit 3D printer a dream of designing his own action figures. That dream became LazArt Studios LLC, an independent tabletop game and collectible studio operating out of his basement in New Jersey.
I was hooked! As an avid toy and memorabilia collector, as well as an appreciator and creator of custom toy art, this was an obvious calling," John wrote on his website

His flagship creation, Draughtnauts, is a collectible, checkers-style tabletop game set in an ever-expanding sci-fi universe.
It's a game, it's a collection, and a creative sandbox you could lose yourself in!
Then life intervened. A move, an injury, and a global pandemic became too much to handle.
In 2025, a new LazArt Studios launched — this time with simpler gameplay, cooler customizations, faster and smarter production, and brand new custom packaging to level up the experience from get-go!

With his own 3D printers and 20 years of production experience, he had the tools to figure out the product packaging boxes himself. Now it was about where he wanted his energy to go.
