I am getting ready to place an order for 2000 door hangers, 4 different designs at 500 pieces per artwork. What is the cheapest way of placing this order? Should I place 1 order of 2000, or 4 orders of 500. Candice W. - July 17, 2009
You will need to place 4 different orders using one job number. This is the only way to upload for different design files. On your shopping cart page, you may choose to click "Add Item with the same specs" if your design has the same size quantity and Ink, or you may click "Continue Shopping" to add an item or a design with a different specification to you invoice. I submitted my door hanger template in a PDF format. However, the proof that I received for approval appears brighter than the PDF format that I sent in. Why is that? Lori K. - July 17, 2009
Your PDF file may have been set in RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color formatting. In order to fix this problem, please make sure that the color setting was set to CMYK coloring. If you are critical with the colors of your design we strongly recommend that you order a hardcopy proof Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
I don't want to start over from scratch, but I used Illustrator to create a door hanger, and I want to re-create the same layout and design while only changing the name. What do I do? Preston J. - July 17, 2009
Do your revisions in the native software that you have used to create you design (which in this case is Adobe Illustrator). Use save as to create your new file and upload it in Illustrator format. Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
If I have 4 designs of a door hanger that I made using Illustrator, do I have to place 4 different orders if I want to print 500 of each design? Can't I just place one order of 2000 door hangers? Christa R. - July 17, 2009
In order to print out 4 different designs, you will need to place 4 different orders, but you can place it under one job number. My door hanger design is in an AI file. I got the proof, and noticed that the color was a little brighter than the original file. How do I fix this? Samantha G. - July 17, 2009
Make sure that you changed the color setting from RGB to CMYK. If you are using Illustrator CS versions select all by clicking CTRL + A then go to Edit > Edit Colors then select Convert to CMYK Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
Is it possible to duplicate a design I made in Photoshop without having to start over again? I need to make some changes in the text, but I don't want to re-do the design process. Preston R. - July 17, 2009
Yes it is possible. To make a duplicate design go to File > Save as or press Ctrl + Shift + S. On the Save as dialogue box type different file name for your new updated file. Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
Why does the color on the PDF proof looks brighter than the PSD file I sent in for my door hanger design? Cara G. - July 17, 2009
Your color format is probably in RGB. Convert the color format from RGB to CMYK. To covert, click Image > Mode then select CMYK Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
I want to print 2 different designs of a door hanger. Should I place two orders, or can I just place 1 order with 2 designs? Candice M. - July 17, 2009
Each order you place can only be for 1 design. If you have 2 designs, you will need to place 2 orders. On your shopping cart page, you may choose to click "Add Item with the same specs" if your design has the same size quantity and Ink, or you may click "Continue Shopping" to add an item or a design with a different specification to you invoice. How can I make some minor changes to a previous door hanger design without having to re-create the whole design again? I made a design using CorelDraw, and I don't want to labor over it again if I just need to change the text on the design. Christa R. - July 17, 2009
Simply save the original file onto your Uprinting account. Then download the PDF proof for that file. Make the changes on the proof file, save that file under a new name, and then upload the newly named file. Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
The proof of the CorelDraw door hanger design that I made is a lot brighter than what I wanted it to be. What kind of error is it? Cara J. - July 17, 2009
Your original file must have been in RGB color formatting. If you change to CMYK color formatting, the colors should not appear as bright anymore. Answered by UPrinting.com Prepress Team
