Find the best central point in the entire design. Your overall design can’t be too busy or loud. In one glance, the customer should be guided toward your logo or the product name—whichever will confirm that your item is what they’re looking for.
Make sure the size and shape you choose can achieve this. It shouldn’t be too big that the identifier isn’t distinct or too small that it eats up the supporting information (e.g. net weight, purpose, brand name, etc.) that they’ll need while checking out your product.

Cosmetic Labels FAQs
The cosmetic label has two parts, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA):
- The principal display panel (PDP) shows the name of the product or identifies what it is. It also contains the net quantity of contents or the amount of the product. It is stated in weight, numerical count, measure, or a combination of weight/measure and numerical count. Place the net quantity at the bottom area of the PDP.
- The information panel of the label contains the name and place of the business or distributor. The address should include the street address, city, state, and zip code.
If the distributor is different from the manufacturer, this information also needs to be indicated with the phrase “Distributed by”, “Manufactured for”, or other similar wording.

Yes, all cosmetics sold or produced for sale need to list all ingredients. The ingredients should be clear enough that the consumer can read it while shopping for the item. The list of ingredients is normally placed in the package’s informational panel.
Ingredients are listed “in descending order of predominance,” according to the FDA. Make sure to use the established name or those that have been adopted by regulation. Cosmetics that are also considered drugs first need to indicate the active drug ingredient before declaring the cosmetic components.
Be sure to add the appropriate label warning if the cosmetic is applied incorrectly and the correct directions for the product’s safe use.
Cosmetic products like mouthwash, fresheners, other oral hygiene items, and sanitary care products need to be in tamper-resistant packages. A tamper-resistant package includes a barrier or indicator to entry like a sealed carton, pouch, or tape seal.

Great news! We can certainly print stickers for you to use to cover your jar. We do offer other types and finishes for stickers. Just a heads-up: we are unable to ship out blank white stickers. They must not contain even the smallest of prints. As for samples, you may request samples by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking on Samples. There, you may request a free offset sample, which contains sample stickers.
