As a child, reading stories and being read to offered me some very special opportunities to use my imagination, better understand my emotions, bond with my parents, and create happy memories.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

Chiara lives and writes by the motto, \u201cLook at the world through the eyes of a child\u201d.<\/p>

Knowing firsthand how a good story can positively impact someone inspired her to use simple words and gentle illustrations so even the youngest readers can relate to the stories and characters.<\/p>

\u201cI was displaying my books at a Christmas market last year. A festive crowd was filling the room, looking at all the local vendors and their wonderful creations, and this little girl named Eva stopped at my table and pointed at one of my books,<\/em> \u201cJuliet Stork: Mission North Pole\u201d.<\/p>\n

She asked me if she could read it. Of course, I said yes!<\/em> She stood there, reading my book till the very end, oblivious to the holiday buzz around her.<\/p>\n

When she finished reading, I asked her, \u201cDid you like it?\u201d <\/em>And the most wonderful smile appeared on her face. She said, \u201cYes, I really liked it a lot!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

For Chiara, that moment was everything \u2014 proof that her stories could quiet the noise and capture a child's attention and imagination completely. That encounter with Eva is every author\u2019s dream, but it rarely happens by accident.<\/p>
