Asked how he wanted to be known, UPrinting customer and photographer-entrepreneur Okello Dunkley says “As the guy that can break down the complicated subject of photography in 3 short hours.”

Okello had been an entrepreneur since 1998, when he started working as a wedding photographer. The emergence of DSLR cameras as a mainstream consumer item in the next decade however, changed everything.  By 2007, there were a lot of people with the tools, but not the knowhow or the technical skills to take good photos. Chances are you probably know someone with a DSLR wasting their camera’s potential.

Okello recounts “I took a friend around one day and showed them the ins and outs of their camera and was asked if I taught a class by random people on the street and the lightbulb went on. In April 2010, I stopped shooting weddings and started teaching classes exclusively.”

“I quit my full-time sales job in June of 2009 a week after my first child was born” continues Okello. “ My friends and family thought I was certifiable since I was only working weekends, but just teaching classes was going well, I loved it and could see the potential. I also got to spend more time with the little one.”

Brandenburg-Gate

Now DSLR Workshops by Okello Dunkley holds all over the country, with thousands of satisfied students using their DSLRs in ways they wouldn’t have thought of. Enthuses Okello“The classes are held all around the country so check the website to see when I’ll be in your city!”

UPrinting has helped thousands of entrepreneurs like Okello build their brand and make a name for themselves with affordable, high-quality full-color printing.

Says Okello“I did a small card order a couple of years ago, but in the last year I’ve ordered lots of booklets…[UPrinting’s] given my booklets a professional look at a good price. I’ve had people tell me that they’ve seen their friends booklet and decided to take the class.”

“I have printed 6000 booklets over the course of the last year and will be placing an order for 10,000 as soon as I make a few photo and text additions– and we move into a bigger house!”
