Allowable Size
The USPS (United States Postal Service) has a strict rules when it comes to the minimum and maximum sizes allowed for mailable postcards. The minimum size allowed is 3.5x5 inches and any size lower than this are not mailable. The maximum allowed size is 4.25x6 inches and any size bigger than this will be considered a letter; thus, will have higher postage rate.
Allowable Thickness
The minimum allowed thickness is .007 inches while the maximum is .25 inches. Postcards with thickness not exceeding these numbers are qualified for standard postcard mailing. The USPS postcard design rules include that any thickness lesser or higher than such numbers are considered non-mailable and shall not be delivered.
