Magnetic signs are marketing tools that can be placed on almost any metal surface. It can be designed in any way that you think will help boost your business promotions. You can lift a design from your existing promotional materials. For example, if you have a restaurant or diner, you can reuse the color combination and design used in your menu. This allows uniformity and reinforces the identity of your business.

Permanent magnets can hold sheets of paper on a fridge door or be used to decorate dull spaces. Take your magnet designs up a notch by exploring design possibilities. There are other things you could do besides placing your logo; add a mini calendar, attach a note pad or make it an invitation. Magnetic signs with simple designs go a long way. There are many possibilities when creating a layout but here are a few ideas:
Calendar Magnets. These are a classic. They serve as date reminders, decorations or advertising tools for your business. Your calendar size would depend on the size of your magnets. If you want small magnets, create one-page mini calendars. This idea is applicable for 4” x 6” magnets — you can use half of the space for the calendar and the other half for your advertisement; use the whole space as a calendar and place your logo on one side; or make your design a background.
Notepad Magnets. Decorative magnets often go straight to fridge doors. Why don’t you attach several sheets of paper on your magnets so mothers can use it to make their grocery lists? These are useful in offices as well; use them for jotting notes. Make your logo prominent on the design and, if possible, include it on your notepad as well.
Save-the-Date Magnets. Do you know that you can also use magnets as invitations? These are creative reminders and are great for business or personal use — store opening, product launching, weddings, anniversaries and the like. You can list event details on your magnets or make them teasers to an upcoming event. Design it creatively — enough too intrigue your guests to check out your store on the day of the event.

Car Magnets. Magnetic signs aren’t limited to indoor promotions. These are also placed on car doors to market products and services. Although these don’t have any additional function like the first three examples, car magnets are effective marketing tools — they are seen by motorists in high-traffic areas. Car magnets should be kept informational and simple. Magnets used for this purpose have only a few seconds to impress and communicate a message. Thus, a vibrant design with a striking tagline should do the trick.
