Color Format
Be sure your digital files are saved in a color format compatible with the printing process of your home/office printer or online printing company; that’s CMYK to most digital and offset printers and pantone to others. If you’re designing your own material, make sure the file itself is set to more than or equal to 300 dpi, not just the images in it. Doing otherwise may result to blurry or pixelated images and the colors won’t be as lively as what you see on your computer screen.

Finishing Options
The coating of your printed materials will affect the vividness of its colors. Gloss coating tends to enhance the sharpness of the images and colors of your design. On the other hand, matte coating reduces glare. Call your printing company for more information on what finishes they offer.

Printing Company
If you’re planning on having an online printing company to print for you, you should choose make sure you’re with the right one for your color graphic printing needs. Ask yourself, does your printing company give you full color printing service? Do they have state-of-the-art printing equipment that assures quality color printouts at an affordable cost? Do they give you the best value for the money you’re willing to spend by giving you additional services like free file proofing? UPrinting offers a Free File Review service where prepress experts check your file for possible printing problems.

To ensure high-quality color graphic printing, check with the guidelines provided above. In addition, call your printing company and ask how you can maximize the potential of your printing project.
