Working with the offset printer - here is how it works: The offset press is among the very common printing method used. Almost all commercial printers utilize it. Though the process is said to be standard it produces a top notch quality. The printing press that we use works on a very simple principle in which the ink and the water don’t mix. The images such as the words and art are put on plates, which then are dampened first by water, then ink. The ink applied adheres to the image area and the water down to the non-image area. |
Then from this process that image is transferred to a rubber blanket and from the blanket to the paper. This process is called as offset because the image does not directly go to the paper from the plates compared to other forms of printing. Our offset can print quantities ranging from 1,000 copies up to 25,000. It can print large number of cards. Thus when we refer to the term offset the machine used for it is as big as the 6-color komori press that is why it can print large number of cards. Compared to digital our offset printer can do more quantities. |
