Folded Brochure

Folded brochure is a term that describes brochures that are sectioned into several panels by folding.  These brochures can be presented in different ways, depending on the extent of customization you specified.  Some are folded twice, creating overlapping panels, while some are folded like door openings, which result in two small flaps and a big middle panel.  

While folds can be done in a various ways, three methods have become common choices among individuals in the marketing scene.

1.    Half fold

Half-folded brochures are folded once, dividing the brochure into two sections.  The crease is usually in the middle so the sections are equal in size.   

2.    Tri-fold

Brochures with tri-folds are folded twice just like the way letters are folded, hence its synonym letterfold.  With tri-folds, the resulting panels are overlapping.

3.    Z-fold

Z-folded brochures follow the same process as tri-folds in that the paper is folded twice.  However, this type of fold follows a letter z pattern.
