4 color label printing is a process that involves a system where a color image is separated into four different color values by the use of filters and screens. Normally, this process is done digitally. The end result is a separation of 4 color images that when transferred to printing plates and printed out using the printing press with the colored inks, the original color image is reproduced.
  When doing 4 color printing the use of 4 screens and 4 inks is employed. 4 screens and 4 inks are used to reproduce the color of the original; it is also called process printing.
